The role of the Operations Co-ordinator for NTMEC will vary depending on the assigned event. Typically, this role will include assisting with the planning, execution of events and on site assistance across the event portfolio. The successful candidate will have proven previous major event experience and strong administrative and organisational skills. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Actively contribute to the planning, preparation and delivery of events working within the NTMEC team, liaising with key stakeholders, contractors and suppliers. Contribute to the selection of suitable venues or locations; planning and preparation for appropriate venue management, contractors and equipment hire. Manage manual labour to prepare and maintain venues including preparing works schedules and timelines. Work closely to assist the Senior Events Manager during the planning and delivery of events. Manage temporary venue overlay and plan effectively to supplement permanent facilities in a variety of locations. Ensure contractors adhere to NTMEC WHS and compliance requirements. Manage activities on event day including the setup of event infrastructure, overseeing waste and cleaning and facilitate any on the day running repairs. Manage and maintain NTMEC event assets when in storage Selection Criteria: Essential Demonstrate previous events, project or venue management skills across a diverse portfolio and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate proactively with a proven ability to engage with diverse groups of stakeholders and customer groups. Highly developed ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage workload within the context of overall organisation priorities. Physically capable to perform manual labour focusing on venue preparation and maintenance. Well-developed IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications and demonstrated ability in using information technology as an effective management and communication tool. Background and experience in budget management in a similar environment Ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours including weekends and public holidays where required. Capacity to travel intrastate and interstate as required, potentially for significant periods of time. Provide evidence of a Current valid driver’s licence.
