Get your tickets to the Eels v Broncos clash on Friday

The countdown is on for the Eels v Broncos match, with the popular NRL teams to face off at TIO Stadium on Friday, 23 April.

The Anzac round is one of the most renowned on the NRL calendar, and is significant to the Top End due to the Territory’s extensive World War II history.

Players and support staff from both teams arrived in the Territory today and will take part in community engagement opportunities over coming days.

Parramatta Eels Captain Clint Gutherson said the Darwin match is one the team’s favourite games of the season.

“We’re especially looking forward to it given we missed it last year due to the travel ban,” he said.

“We’re really enjoying our footy this season and can’t wait to play in front of the locals for a very special Anzac Round. We’re hoping to see as many NT fans as possible show up at our home away from home on Friday night.”

These include the Parramatta Eels Primary School Cup, a Wheelchair Rugby League come and try day, the Eels Mataranka Sports Expo and a Broncos training session that is open to the public.

About 60 representatives from the Territory’s adopted club, the Eels, will also attend the Dawn Service on Anzac Day. The club will take part in the wreath-laying ceremony.
